The microwave measuring system has an active microwave transmitter unit (A) and an active microwave receiver unit (B). The active microwave transmitter unit consists of a microwave receiver (1), A Gunn oscillator (2), a modulator/absolute coder (3), a microwave amplifier (4) and a microwave emitter (5) connected in series with each other. The active microwave receiver unit (B) consists of aerials (6), a receiver module (7), a demodulator (8) and an evaluation unit (9). The aerials, module, demodulator and evaluation unit are connected in series with each other. The microwave receiver communicates in remote scanning with an automatic clock. The active microwave receiver unit (B) is arranged tactile at an object (C) to be measured, and is in telemetric communication with at least one active microwave transmitting unit (A).
