The blade of a vehicle windscreen wiper has a non-stick coating of a sliding varnish (3). The varnish (3) is a twin-component air-hardened dry lubricant, composed of a solid lubricant and preferably polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in an organic bonding agent which mixes with water, together with a hardener and preferably of polyisocyanate. The whole surface of the rubber blade (1) is coated (3).
