LITHIUM SECONDARY CELL, CHARGER, AND DEVICE FOR INFORMATION TERMINAL

A chargeable cell which is excellent in portability as the power source of portable device for information terminal and easily handled. A device for information terminal using the cell, and a highly efficient safe charger are also disclosed. A flat lithium secondary cell of a chargeable cell has a discharge capacity of 8 w/h at a voltage of 4.2-3.2 V, a thickness of 5 mm, and a diagonal dimension of 100-130 mm which is 20 times or more as large as the thickness. A carbon material containing fine metal particles is used as a cathode active material. In order to prevent the electrodes to swell after the cell is used for a long period, the case of the cell is covered with a material having a Young's modulus of 20 N/m<2> and the adhesion of the electrodes is strengthened, thus prolonging the life span of the cell.
