A process for the manufacture of a seat cushion (1) comprising a quilted filling (2) covered with an outer layer (3), includes spraying at least one of the sides to be adhered, with a mono-component polyurethane adhesive consisting of an isocyanate prepolymer and polyol. The adhesive is sprayed simultaneously with a catalyst via respective spray nozzles, in such a way that they are mixed together between the spray nozzles. The adhesive is sprayed in a jet (59) onto the required surface and the catalyst is sprayed into the adhesive jet stream of right angles to the path of the adhesive jet spray.
