Uv radiation sterilisation system for fluids

A UV radiation sterilisation system (10; 10a) includes a container (12) for a fluid to be sterilised and a UV lamp (14) positioned within the container such that the fluid to be sterilised contacts the lamp surface. The UV lamp (14) has ends defining electrical connections (28, 29), and the ends of the lamp may be isolated from a fluid containing portion of the container (12) by resilient annular seals (30, 31) located between the lamp surface and the container. The system (14) is operated using a low voltage supply of less than 110 volts, typically at a voltage of 12 volts.
