Composition of a product for preserving perishable foods in stores for storage of meat, fish, shellfish, fruit and the like, as well as in containers for the transport of these products and in the preservation and keeping of said products in domestic refrigerators, acting on the oxidation reaction of the volatiles, ethylene, acetylene, carboxylic acids, amines, ketones, aldehydes, etc., breaking them down in such a way that it is able to desorb substances useful in preservation, such as water vapour and small quantities of carbon dioxide. The composition is made up by dissolving a determined volume of NO3H to stabilize the pH, which is then treated with YH2Na2, "Y" being ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), water being eliminated by drying, and the mixture of inorganic salts then being added; the mixture will subsequently be stirred until the salts are completely dissolved, a carrier made up of an inorganic and inert compound then being added. |
