PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin hollow molded object having an outer shell layer composed of a porous fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin higth in voids and a hollow part. SOLUTION: Thermoplastic resin air impermeable films 7, 7' are bonded to both surfaces of a two-layered sheet obtained by mutually laminating and bonding fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin sheets 6, 6' containing reinforcing fibers by a hot-melt adhesive melted at the m.p. of the thermoplastic resin being the matrix of the sheets 6, 6' or lower to form a multilayered sheet 8 which is, in turn, preheated to the m.p. of the thermoplastic resin being the matrix or higher to be expanded in its thickness direction and the expanded multilayered sheet is arranged between a pair of molds planned so as to have a cavity clearance equal to or larger than the thickness of the multilayered sheet 8 after preheating at least at a part of a cavity at a time of the completion of molding while holding the preheated state and, after or while mold clamping is performed, vacuum suction is performed from a plurality of vacuum suction holes preliminarily provided to the molding surface of either one of molds or both molds. |
