PURPOSE:To reduce operation for granting a key word for retrieval to timbre as to an electronic musical instrument such as a synthesizer, etc. CONSTITUTION:A timbre name consisting of plural characters is stored in a RAM 4 and the correspondence relation between a specific key word and a specific character string is stored in a ROM 3 and the RAM 4. When the timbre name contains one key word, a CPU 2 sets the key word as the key word for retrieving the timbre name. Then, the set key word is recorded on an FDD 8. |
