PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning device which protects a panel of a set-in- ceiling type air conditioner from shocks and which is easy to put together and has an excellent effect on protection against shocks. SOLUTION: This cushioning device 2 for packaging designed to be set for a comer part 1a of a decorative panel 1, which is placed at the lower end of a set-in-ceiling type air conditioner, is formed by bending corrugated paper board and composed of a lower-side cushion and an upper-side cushion which form a space in between for the corner part 1a of the decorative panel 1 to be fitted in. In the proximity of the corner part 1a of the decorative panel 1 the outer side of an upwardly rising wall 1b comes in contact with the forward end of the upper-side cushion, that is, a bent part formed by a board and a board and a bent part formed by a board part 25 and a board part 26, in such a manner as to form a space between the peripheral surface of the corner part 1a of the decorative panel 1 and the inner surface of the side board part 5, etc., of the cushion 2. |
