PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity, electrostatic chargeability, and potential stability by using a specified titanyl phthalocyanine. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body contains the titanyl phthalocyanine compound (TiOPc) having main Bragg angles (2theta + or - 0.2 deg.) to the characteristic X-rays of Cu Kalpha as follows; 7.4 deg., 11.0 deg., 17.9 deg., 20.1 deg., 26.4 deg., and 29.0 deg.. The photosensitive layer 4 is formed by laminating on a conductive substrate 1 a carrier generating layer 2 containing TiOPc and a carrier transfer layer 3 containing a carrier transfer material, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be improved in sensitivity, electrostatic chargeability and potential stability at the time of repeated uses to be enhanced. |
