摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the fuel consumption by concentrating the fuel in the vicinity of an ignition plug to expand the critical value of the lean air-fuel ratio in which the ignition is surely performed and flammability is secured. SOLUTION: An engine is provided with a control valve 7 to generate the swirl in which the sucked air is turned in a cylinder, a center projected part 10 which is conical-raised from a top surface of a piston 3 is formed, and a cavity 13 which is annular-recessed around the center projected part 10 is formed on the top surface of the piston. An injector 1 is arranged so that its fuel injection direction is opposite to the center projected part 10, and an ignition plug 2 is arranged opposite to the cavity 13.
