The present invention refers to a water treatment system which includes a treatment tank having an ion exchange mineral bed or a filter bed disposed therein, and a valve head assembly arranged on top of, and in fluid communication with, said treatment tank. The valve head assembly includes a passageway to allow a flow through the head valve assembly, a pressure generating device disposed inside said passageway, a drainage disposed inside the passageway and on a surface downstream the vacuum pressure generating device, and a valve disposed inside the passageway and on a surface downstream the vacuum pressure generating device. The valve can be moved to an open and a closed position to allow fluid to flow through said vacuum pressure generating device, thereby allowing a fluid portion to flow through the drainage, and a remaining lower portion of fluid to flow through the valve when the valve is in the open position.
