The invention relates to a fine and compact insulation by using a glass monofilament. The process for producing the insulation comprises the steps of: mixing glass momofilament of 1-3 micron and water at the ratio of 1 : 80-120, and then mixing with 0.02 to 0.08 of a dispersing agent; mixing and stabilizing the mixture by adding about 600 to 800 times of water; molding and drying the stabilized mixture to produce an insulation sheet with a density of 100-200k and a thickness of 5-15mm.
