The tile has double side- and top-seams (3,2), together with a first top rib (5) flanking the central area (4). The latter contains a second top rib, and the pantile dimensions are such that ten tiles will cover an area of 1 square metre. It can be 43 cm long x 31 cm wide. There can be an outer top seam-rib (7), merging without interruption into an outer side-seam rib (11) preventing water run-off in the sideways direction. In the underside there is a groove (16) accommodating the inner side-seam rib (12) on a pantile underneath, also a bottom seam (17) accommodating the top ribs (7,8) of a second tile underneath.
