PURPOSE:To produce the metallic foil thermal-sprayed with ceramics with good productivity by cooling only the rear surface of a part to be thermal-sprayed with water at the time of forming a ceramics layer over the entire surface of the metallic foil by moving a thermal spraying gun within the plane parallel with the surface to be thermal-sprayed of the metallic foil. CONSTITUTION:The plasma thermal spraying gun 2 directed to the surface 1 to be thermal-sprayed of the fixed metallic foil (copper foil, etc.), is moved in the zigzag shape shown by broken lines and arrows within the plane parallel with the surface 1 to form the ceramics thermal spraying layer 3 (alumina, etc.) over the entire surface 1. Water spraying nozzles 4 are so disposed below the surface to be thermal-sprayed of the metallic foil in such a manner that the water can be supplied closely to the entire rear surface of the surface to be thermal-sprayed at this time. The water 7 is supplied to the nozzles 4 from prescribed pipings 5 by controlling the opening and closing of solenoid valves 6 to bring the water into contact with only the rear surface of the part 8 to be thermal-sprayed and the neighborhood thereof during the thermal spraying, thereby cooled and thermal spraying points from the rear surface. The ceramics is thermal-sprayed onto the metallic foil with high mass productivity in this way. |
