摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat an untreated gas up to catalytic burning temperatures without the overheating of a catalyst in a catalytic layer to effect a deodorizing process and effectively use an exhaust heat, if any, from another factory facility. SOLUTION: Exhaust gas treating zones 3A, 3B with a catalytic layer 4 and a regenerative layer 5 are formed on both end sides of an exhaust gas heating zone 3H across this zone 3H, and untreated exhaust gas inflow ducts 8A, 8B and treated exhaust gas discharging ducts 10A, 10B), equipped with dampers 7A, 7B, 9A, 9B which reverse the flow direction of an exhaust gas every specified time are connected to each of the exhaust gas treating zones 3A, 3B. In addition, a hot air generating device 12 which generates a hot air at temperatures for heating an untreated exhaust gas up to catalytic burning temperatures is connected to an exhaust gas heating zone 3H through a hot air supply duct 14H. Further, as a heating device as a heat source is not directly arranged, a catalyst does not overheat on account of a radiant heat by the heating device.
