<p>A grinder pump station (10) capable of having its height adjusted in the field during installation has a longitudinal tank having a substantially cylindrical non-corrugated inner wall (52) secured to a substantially cylindrical corrugated outer wall (54), a separate transition section (18) for mounting a grinder pump unit (34) within the longitudinal tank, a removable lid assembly (22) attached to the top of the longitudinal tank, and a base (32) attached to the bottom of the tank. The removable lid assembly (22) includes an electrical (76) and ventilation interface for the grinder pump unit (34) mounted in the tank, thereby facilitating adjustment of the height of the tank through variation in its longitudinal extent without interference with the electrical (76) and ventilation interface. The transition section (18) separates an upper tank portion (14) from a lower tank portion (16), preferably has a non-corrugated side wall (17), and includes a sewage inlet opening (20) and a sewage outlet opening (19) through its side wall (17).</p> |
