PURPOSE:To perform a printing condition check correctly and rapidly by a method wherein square patterns for checking a printing density are so printed that the outer edges of the patterns adjacent to each other are aligned in a straight line, a large number of oblique-line patterns of chevron-shape are printed in parallel between the square patterns so as to be directed in a ticket issuing direction, and the respective patterns are printed with characters or symbols. CONSTITUTION:On a ticket 1, since oblique-line patterns E of substantially a chevron-shape are directed in a ticket issuing direction, the ticket issuing direction can be grasped. Therefore, a distance l1 from the end of the ticket issuing direction to a lengthwise outer edge a1 of a square pattern A is measured, whereby whether a printing is started from a proper position can be checked. On the other band, a printing density can be checked using square patterns A, B, C, and D. By measuring a distance between the square patterns disposed crosswise, e.g., a distance l2 between the lengthwise outer edges a1 and c1 of the patterns A and C, a printing length can be checked. Using the oblique-line patterns E of nearly a chevron-shape, a shortage of dots can be checked by a large number of lines differing stepwise in thickness. Therefore, in a similar manner, all the checks of a printing position, a printing density, a printing quality, and others can be conducted using the printing test pattern formed on a ticket surface. |
