PURPOSE:To reduce the maximum delivery of a pump in a mold clamping device, by a method wherein the total of a rod side pressure receiving area of an auxiliary cylinder and that of a main cylinder is set up almost the same as the total of a head side pressure receiving area of the main cylinder and pressure receiving area of a booster cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An oil chamber 74 for a booster is formed between the tip part of a booster cylinder 73 of a main cylinder 61, which is extended within a head from a head side end face of a cylinder and arranged slidably, and the inside of the head and head sides 70, 71 of auxiliary cylinders 63, 64 are released to the open air. The total of and side pressure receiving areas of the auxiliary cylinders 63, 64 and the rod side pressure receiving area of the main cylinder 61 is set up almost the same as the total of a head side pressure receiving area of the main cylinder 61 and pressure receiving area of the booster cylinder 73 further. With this construction, flows of hydraulic oil to be used at the times of mold breaking and mold clamping become equal to each other and useless operation of a pump is eliminated. Therefore, responding properties of a mold clamping device can be made favorable. |
