PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the whole body tough and to make a fitting tool unnecessary by a method wherein a contacting and receiving part in the longitudinal direction and an inserting and sticking part being harder than it are integrally extrusion-molded and projected parts for insertion and cut parts are alternately positioned on the inserting and sticking part in the longitudinal direction and the cut parts are removed and the projected parts for insertion are projected. SOLUTION: A weather strip main body 1 is extrusion-molded in the longitudinal direction with a synthetic resin or a foamed synthetic resin to form integrally in the longitudinal direction a contacting and receiving part 2 and an inserting and sticking part 3 consisting of a synthetic resin being harder than the contacting and receiving part 2. In the inserting and sticking part 3, the apex is made sharp and parts for projected parts 7 for insertion inserted and sticked at specified intervals in the longitudinal direction and cut parts 8 removed at specified intervals are alternately provided. In addition, a hole for insertion is provided in advance at a fitting position of a panel of an automobile body and the cut parts 8 of the inserting and sticking part 3 are removed from cut lines 9 and 9 in accordance with the positions fitting to the intervals of the holes for insertion to project the projected parts for insertion. Then, the projected parts 7 and 7 for insertion are press-inserted into the holes for insertion of the automobile body.
