PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester resin composition which comprises a polyester resin and a specific olefin polymer, has improved shock resistance without adverse effect on its excellent tensile elongation, and a low specific gravity and is useful in parts for motor vehicles. SOLUTION: This resin composition mainly comprises (A) a polyester resin (preferably polybutylene terephthalate) and (B) an olefin polymer (preferably an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer having an elastic modulus of <=1×10<9> dyn/cm<2> , a melt index of 0.1-50g/10 minutes). The ratio of the weight-average molecular weight to the number-average molecular weight (Mw/Mn) of the component B is <=4 and the weight ratio of the component A/the component B is 60/40-97/3.
