PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly swell an air bag device into a fixed form, and reduce the cost. SOLUTION: This air bag device 10 is provided with a long bag body 28, and a wire 40 is penetrated through the interior of the bag body 28 along the lengthwise direction. This wire 40 is movably supported with a plurality of metal fittings 42, the respective metal fittings 42 are penetrated through the bag body 28 and slits 38, 24, 26 formed on a cover 14 receiving the bag body 28 and projected outward, and fixed on fixed positions by bolts 50. The width dimension of the metal fitting 42 is formed shorter than the respective slits 38, 24, 26, and hence when the bag body 28 is developed, the bag body 28 is properly moved along the metal fittings 42 so as to make tension in the lengthwise direction of the bag body 28 by inner pressure at swelling to be uniform. Hereby, the air bag device can be smoothly swelled and developed following to a fixed developing form. |
