<p>Surface material for an absorbent article, wherein the material includes a surface layer which excretes lactic acid and/or an acid physiologically acceptable derivative thereof when the surface layer is immersed in a water volume, the weight ratio between surface layer and water volume being 1:100, in an amount such that the lactic acid and/or derivative excreted within a time period of at most 20 hours will impart a pH of at most 3.0 to the water volume.</p> |
