<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new derivative havingβ2 -adrenaline receptor stimulating action higher in selectivity compared withβ1 -adrenaline receptor stimulating action and reduced in load of tachycardia to heart. SOLUTION: This 3,4-di-substituted phenylethanolaminoteralincarboxylic acid derivative is represented by formula I Q is vinylene or A-(CH2 )n [A os O or methylene; (m) is 1-6]; R is H or a lower alkyl; (n) is 1 or 2; C* represents R configuration or S configuration or a mixture thereof; carbon atom to which (S) is attached represents S configuration}, e.g. 5- (2S)-2[[(2RS)-2-hydroxy-2-(4- hydroxy-3-hydroxymethylphenyl)ethyl]amino]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthaln e-7-yloxy} ethyl valerate. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting, e.g. a compound of formula II (R<1> is a lower alkyl) with a compound of formula III (R<1> is a protective group of OH; X is a halogen) and then carrying out reduction of the compound and removal of the protective group.</p> |
