PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recording sheet of high quality by using a vinyl acetate resin emulsified by silanol modified polyvinyl alcohol as a binder resin. SOLUTION: In the ink receiving layer of an ink jet recording sheet, a vinyl acetate resin emulsified by using silanol modified polyvinyl alcohol is used as a binder resin for bonding inorg. pigment in order to suppress that the binder resin is migrated to be non-uniformly distributed in the vicinity of the surface of the ink receiving layer. The resin is emulsified by protective colloid and silanol modified polyvinyl alcohol is used as the protective colloid. By this constitution, printing irregularity is eliminated and ink absorbability, a dot shape, water resistance, the film strength of an ink receiving layer and printing curl resistance are made excellent. |
