<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyurethane resin, esp. a hydrophilic one, excellent in adhesion to a substrate (e.g., a plastic film) and having antiblocking properties. SOLUTION: A polyisocyanate is reacted with a polyfunctional, active hydrogen compd. (e.g., a high-molecular diol and a chain extender) and a hydrazone or a hydrazone deriv. having active hydrogen atoms to provide a polyurethane resin. A hydrophilic polyurethane resin is obtd. by using a difunctional component having ionic groups (e.g., carboxyl, sulfo, or optionally substd. amino groups) or nonionic groups (e.g., oxyethylene units) as a high-molecular diol and/or a chain extender. The ionic groups of the hydrophilic polyurethane resin are neutralized. Thus, obtd. hydrophilic resin is useful for preparing a water-base adhesive, a water-base printing ink, and a water-base coating compsn.</p> |
