GRANULAR ACETYLENE BLACK, ITS PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a granular acetylene black excellent in dispersibility to a resin and rubber, improved in conductivity providing ability due to possibility of high packing, hardly dusting during air transportation, useful for a semiconductive layer for cable, by adjusting a particle hardness, a bulk density and a coarse particle content to specific values. SOLUTION: (A) Raw powder of acetylene black is adjusted to >=5g/granule particle hardness, >=0.2g/cm<3> bulk density, <=10ppm coarse particle content, optionally further <=100ppm ash content and is obtained, for example, by blending 100 pts.wt. of the component A with 200-350 pts.wt. of ion exchange water, granulating and then blending 100 pts.wt. of the granule with 10-50 pts.wt. of the component A and granulating again.
