Built-in soap dish which can have an extremely wide variety of formats, colours and dimensions and which can be manufactured from any rigid, corrosion-resistant material (ceramic or plastic). It is intended for fitting into the top surface of the bathroom unit which already supports the inset wash basin. The soap dish is fitted (permanently or otherwise) in a cavity which will be made in the top of the unit for that purpose or in a cavity of a planar edge of a basin or of a bathtub. The soap dish has a border 1 around it for resting on the unit surface. To prevent oscillation of the soap dish inside the cavity, it has, vertically around it and around the body of the soap dish 2, a border 3 of specific height, which is set back with respect to the outer edge, whereby the soap dish can be perfectly fitted into the hole. The soap dish has a drain whereby water flows to the waste pipe, via holes 5 in the bottom of the body of the soap dish, under which there is a reservoir 6 to which a water-outlet tube 7 is fastened, which will serve to connect to the waste system. As an option, projections 4 may be provided inside the body of the soap dish, in an attractive manner, with the aim of reducing the area of contact of the bar (tablet) of toilet soap therewith. The soap dish may be fitted on the left or on the right side of the wash basin, this depending only on its shape and on the direction of the drain for the water. The process for manufacturing the said dish consists of two mouldings. One, the body of the soap dish, except for the reservoir 6 and respective water-outlet tube 7, which in conjunction form the second moulding. Both the mouldings will, depending on the material used, be fitted by means of gluing, welding or pressing. <IMAGE>
