Earthquake-prevention foundations which are characterized by the support of two superposed plates, one being concave (Fig. 2) and the other convex (Fig. 3), which fit together in the form of a star so that in the event of oscillations the centre of gravity can separate and return to the initial position. According to the invention, the foundation block, which is extremely strong, not only supports the dwelling block but can also be used as a shelter in the event of a catastrophe (Fig. 2). The invention applies to the construction of dwelling blocks. <IMAGE>
