The platform frame comprises closed extrusions (1) which form profiled bars and has parallel lengthwise side surfaces (1a,1b) with mating tongues (14) and grooves (11) on opposite sides, by which they are joined together. Similar profiled bars (1") form the lengthwise sides of the frame, but can have flat lengthwise outer sides (1b"). A profiled support runs along each transverse side of the platform, the platform being secured by it to the scaffolding. An integral parallel vertical rib (14a) can be formed on the tongue, fitting in a mating secondary groove (13a) in the bottom wall of the main groove (11). The wall thickness of the extrusions can be constant on all sides. <IMAGE> |
