The siphon is fixed against a wall (15) of the tank (2) of the purifier. It has an inlet orifice (6) with an outlet mouth (14) in the tank and a cylindrical duct (3) connecting the orifice to the mouth. The sides of the mouth are situated against the wall of the tank with an edge (4) of which the surface diverges with respect to the pipe to increase the a section of the passage. The part of the peripheral contour of the mouth situated between the divergent lateral sides have an edge (5) of which the surface returns to the inside of the conduit for reduction of the passage section.
