The support gripper has a U-shaped cross section with a first plate (3) to engage behind the tubes of the radiator, with a central part (4) and a second plate (5) parallel to the first, to which is joined a folded hook section (7). The length of the central part is less than that of the plates so that after having been inserted between the tubes (9), the support gripper effects a quarter turn to assume the position for use. A screw (12) is provided to lock the two parts of the plates against each other and to lock the two tubes of the radiator.
