Carriers for delivering medicinal, nutritional, plant-protecting or cosmetic active principles are disclosed. One of the essential aims is to provide biocompatible, biodegradable, non-immunogenic, stable, solvent-free active principle delivery particles with a controllably and adjustably small particle size for protecting the active principles without denaturing same as well as releasing said active principles. Therefore, microparticles with a cohesive structure made of a composite, physically and chemically stable and integral gel are provided which include an oil (I), e.g. coconut oil, an aqueous phase (II) and a non-cross-linked linear copolyaminoacid such as (statistical or diblock) Leu/Glu. The size of said delivery particles is controllable and adjustable between 0.05 and 500 .mu.. Said carriers are useful for delivering drugs, nutrients and plant-protecting or cosmetic substances.
