<p>A method for substituting the defective recording of a discoid recording medium (8), in which defective sectors are discriminated on a sector basis by discriminating the acceptance/rejection of reproduction of recorded data not on a product code basis but on a sector basis, when a recording format in which encoded data which are subjected to error detection and correction with a product code are recorded in a plurality of sectors in a scattered state is used and only the data recorded in the sectors discriminated as defective are recorded in substituting sectors, and a discoid recording medium recording and reproducing device.</p> |
