INTELLIGENT MOBILE STATION FOR A CELLULAR TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK

An intelligent mobile station (77) for use in a cellular telecommunications network (20) that combines a mobile station (MS) component (32) with a services component (33) in a single functional unit that stores and executes intelligent network services. The system allows cellular subscribers to program their mobile stations to define and implement customized subscriber services. A cellular telecommunication interface based on the IS-41 intersystem communications protocol may be utilized for communication between the MS component (32) and the services component (33).
