N-( alpha -carbamoyl-phenylazo)-4-(6-methyl-benzo-thiazol-2-yl)-aniline compounds of formula (I) are new, where R1, R2 = hydrogen (H), 1-4 carbon (C) alkyl, 5-6 C cycloalkyl, benzyl, unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl with 1-5 substituents selected from 1-4 C alkyl, 1-4 C alkoxy, halogen, nitro (NO2), cyano (CN), hydroxyl (OH), trifluoromethyl (CF3), (substituted) carbamoyl groups of the formulae CONH2, CONH(5-6 C cycloalkyl), CON(1-4 C alkyl)2, CONH(1-4 C alkyl) and CONH(phenyl) and carboxylate ester groups of the formulae COO(1-4 C alkyl) or COO(5-6 C cycloalkyl); R3 = H, 1-4 C alkyl, 1-4 C alkoxy, halogen, NO2, CN, OH, CF3, COO(1-4 C alkyl) or COO(5-6 C cycloalkyl); and n = 1 or 2.
