The load carrying space vehicle platform is connected to an electrically driven manoeuvring device, having at least one manoeuvring axis. Part of the platform is fitted with a system of inertia gyroscopes designed to generate at least axis couples parallel to the electrically driven manoeuvring axis. Each time movement of the load is necessary around the manoeuvring axis, a manoeuvring signal is determined for the electrical drive to apply required movement couple to the load, the reaction couple is predicted before it is applied to the platform when manoeuvring signal is applied to the electric drive, and a compensation signal is determined to be applied to the platform by the inertia gyroscope system, so as to produce a compensation couple opposed to the predicted reaction couple. The manoeuvring and compensation couples are simultaneously applied. |
