The device has at least one bearing plate (1). This has at least one x-ray beam receiver formed as a matrix detector (3). The matrix detector (3) is preferably integrated into the bearing plate (1) and may extend over the whole plate (1). Alternatively, the bearing plate (1) may be beam transparent with the matrix detector movable arranged on the lower side of the plate. The matrix detector (3) may have a device for storing the image signals in a memory. It may also have a device for transmitting the image signals to a remote matrix detector (3). The image signals may be transmitted by radio. The matrix detector (3) may have a device for reading out stored patient data and/or image signals from a memory. The bearing plate is formed e.g. as a hospital trolley. Alternatively the bearing plate can be fitted onto a table frame of a medical device.
