The description relates to an endotracheal cannula with an outer cannula (1), an inner cannula (2) inside it, a support (3) secured at the exotracheal end of the outer (1) cannula for securing the endotracheal cannula to the throat of the tracheotomy patient and means for securing the inner (2) and outer (1) cannulae. Safe handling through reliable and simply operated locking and unlocking of the inner (2) and outer cannulae (1) and uniform supply through endotracheal cannulae is obtained in that the outer cannula (1) and the inner cannula (2) are widened at their exotracheal ends, there is an adapter (4) at the exotracheal end of the inner cannula (2) to secure the inner (2) and outer cannulae (1) and the support (3) for the outer cannula (1) and the adapter (4) for the inner cannula (2) are connected together.
