What is described is an apparatus for needling a nonwoven, with at least one needle board capable of being driven back and forth in the pricking direction 5 and with a nonwoven guide consisting of a stitch base 1 located opposite the needle board and of a stripper provided between the stitch base 1 and the needle board. In order to improve the longitudinal and transverse strength of the needled nonwoven, it is proposed that the nonwoven guide have, on that surface of at least the stitch base 1 which faces the nonwoven, elevations 3 which are distributed over the pricking region and which descend both in the nonwoven run-through direction 4 and transversely to this. <IMAGE> |
