PURPOSE:To display only character patterns which are previously judged to be necessary from among printed character patterns successively at a visible updated speed without being affected by the linear velocity of a coated electric wire, by a method wherein a printing pattern specifying means is composed of a sensor part and a control signal arithmetic circuit. CONSTITUTION:A printing roll 16 successively prints character patterns on the surface of a coated electric wire by embossing. In this case, every time a sensor part 12 detects a mark 51, it issues the detection signal to a control signal arithmetic circuit 11. Succeedingly, the arithmetic circuit 11 sends a control signal to an image data processing means 3, for example, at every nineth counting of the detection signal. In the processing means 3, after the input of the control signal, an image latch signal is inputted to a pattern input means, for example, with the delay of (t) sec. The input means inputs the character pattern as image data to the processing means 3. The processing means 3 temporarily stores the character pattern and sends it to a display part. A similar processing is carried out with respect to marks 52, 53. Therefore, the change of the information on a display part can be made visible by adjusting the setting of the arithmetic circuit 11. |
