PURPOSE:To extremely readily obtain the titled copolymer, by polymerizing a monomer using an initiator, such as a polymer peroxide, to form a peroxy bond-containing polymer, polymerizing other monomers and using a fluorine- containing monomer and ethylene in either of the stages. CONSTITUTION:Either of (A) a fluorine-containing monomer expressed by the formulas RfOCF=CF2 (Rf is 1-20C fluoroalkyl) and RfCH=CH2, etc., or (B) a fluorine-free monomer is polymerized in the presence of a polymer peroxide or polyazo compound as a polymerization initiator to provide a peroxy or azo bond-containing polymer, which is then used as an initiator to polymerize fluorine-free monomer different from the component (B) or the monomer of the component (A). The monomer of the component (A) is surely used in the coexistence of ethylene in either of the afore-mentioned stages to afford the aimed fluorine-containing block copolymer. |
