The pedal immobiliser has a U shaped body formed by a pair of bars 1, 2 that are connected together at one end 3. A square aperture is provided at the free end of each bar through which a locking bar 4, having an enlarged head 5 and a bore 6, can be inserted and locked to the bars 1, 2 by a padlock whose hasp is passed through the bore. An extension constituted by two bars 7 and a base 8 is secured to bar 2 so that when the vehicle pedal shafts are locked between the bars 1, 2 by the locking bar 6 the extension prevents the pedals from being depressed and thereby immobilises the vehicle. In the embodiments of Figures 3, 5 and 6 a hardened casing is provided which has two bores in which the free ends of the U shaped body can be received and locked therein. |
