<p>The desk comprises a large desk surface (1) supported by two pillars (2,3) which may contain drawers for equipment, cabling etc. On the desk, there is a telephone console (4) set up for the particular purpose. The operator is also provided with computers having a series of screens (E1,E2,E3,E4) mounted on the back edge of the desk surface. The corresponding computer base units (U1,U2) are mounted in a cabinet (5) fitted beneath the desk top. The desk may include a hinged section (6), enabling the computer base unit to pivot about a vertical axis, allowing it to swing out and become accessible. Cabling to the back of this computer unit is sufficiently long to allow this movement.</p> |
