The decoration can consist of at least one decorative ring which can be fitted onto a curtain rod (1) between the sliding curtain rings and end stops. The ring (6) can be made in a variety of shapes and is fitted to the curtain rod via an inner lining ring (7) of an elastomer material, equipped with inwardly projecting ribs (8) or spikes (9) to grip the rod. The decorative ring can be fitted to any part of the curtain rod or used to fix it to a supporting bracket.
