PURPOSE: To easily and safely recover carbon components by dispersing smoke dust, such as heavy crude oil ashes and EP ashes, into water to prepare the slurry thereof, adding salts to the slurry, stirring the slurry to allow heavy metals to settle, them, recovering the slurry liquid and processing the liquid with a centrifugal separator, thereby forcibly dehydrating and condensing the carbon components. CONSTITUTION: Fig. illustrates an explanatory diagram of the device for executing the method. A settling and separating vessel 1 is connected via a pump 2a to a purifying device 3 by centrifugal type sepn. of solid from the liquid. A recovered water vessel 4 is connected to the purifying device 3. The heavy crude oil ashes and EP ashes are dry components and are light and hard to handle and, therefore, these washes are charged into the settling and separating vessel 1 contg. the water in order to impart wettability thereto where the ashes are made into the slurry. Next, the salts are added to the slurry and the slurry is stirred by a stirrer 1a. Iron rust, etc., 5a of the heavy metals are settled and deposited by gravity in the bottom 1b after a while. The slurry liquid is sucked up by the pump 2b and the moisture is forcibly dehydrated and condensed by the purifying device 3, by which the carbon components 5 are recovered. |
