摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To execute the highly accurate input of coordinates with the minimum dimension of an oscillation transmitting board by setting an effective area and the outer area of the effective area in a prescribed position on the oscillation transmitting board to be equipped with plural sensors, which detect oscillation to be inputted by an oscillating pen. CONSTITUTION:A user has an oscillating pen 3 in a hand and inputs the coordinates in a position on an oscillation transmitting board 8. The oscillation transmitting board 8 transmits the ultrasonic oscillation, which is received from the oscillating pen 3, to oscillation sensors 6a-6c. An oscillation transmitting time to the sensor is detected by a signal waveform detecting circuit 9 and the position of the oscillating pen 3 is detected by an arithmetic and control circuit 1. An effective area A is set to the oscillation transmitting board 8. Then, the outer area of the effective area is provided so that the difference of a transmission route between the direct wave of the oscillation to be generated when the border of the effective area A is designated by the oscillating pen 3 and a reflected wave to be reflected in the edge part of the oscillation transmitting board 8 can be >= a prescribed propagation distance from the head of a detected electric signal.</p>
