PURPOSE:To easily view a display map matching with the moving speed of the moving body by allowing the best scale of the map displayed on a display part to be set according to the moving speed of the moving body. CONSTITUTION:The driver on the moving body such as a vehicle presses the start key of a key input part 6 to actuate the device. Then the coordinate values X1 and Y1 of a destination Q are set through the key input part 6. Then a GPS (Grobal positioning system) signal as a satellite radio wave and a self-contained signal that the moving body itself inputs are inputted through an antenna 3, a traveling distance sensor 1, and an azimuth sensor 2 and a data processing part 8A calculates the coordinate values X0 and Y0 of the current position P of the moving body. Then a speed arithmetic part 8B operates the moving speed of the moving body at some intervals of time. Then a scale corresponding to the calculated moving speed is set and then a corresponding map is displayed. |
