Prodn. of animal feed comprises: a) compressing the raw feed material in a reactor using a delivery means to provide a working pressure at the discharge end of the reaction vessel; b) releasing the pressure to below the compression pressure, (esp. to atmospheric pressure) and c) comminuting the material obtd. by pressing, rubbing or centrifuging it, using flanges rotating in a circular orbit, through perforated screens situated below the circular orbit and in close proximity to the flanges. |
