PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which develops high strength even at low temperature without specific curing, by using a calcium aluminate powder, a hydroxycarboxylic acid and an inorganic salt. CONSTITUTION:The subject composition is composed of (A) a calcium aluminate powder which is obtained by calcining or fusing alumina and lime and selected from (CaO)3.Al2O3, (CaO)12.(Al2O3)7, CaO.Al2O3, CaO.(Al2O3)2 and (CaO)11.(Al2 O3)7.CaF2, which has a Blain value over 3,000cm<2>/g, (B) 0.05-2wt.%, based on the powder, of a hydroxycarboxylic acid such as citric acid or tartaric acid or their Na or K salts and (C) 0.5-15wt.% of an inorganic salt such as carbonates, hydroxides or nitrites of alkaline earth metal, and, when needed, admixtures. |
